PITMAN, N.J. – On Monday afternoon, the New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its selections for weekly award winners. Stuart Gruters from the TCNJ men's track & field team was named NJAC Rookie of the Week.

Gruters earns his first career weekly conference honor after a solid showing in the Colonial Relays. He ran to a time of 9:25.06 in the 3000 meter steeplechase which placed him fourth out of 38 competitors. That is the fastest time in the conference in the 3000 steeplechase. It is also the 21st best time in the nation and the fastest time by a freshman in the country this season.
