GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its initial rankings for the 2020 season Monday. The College of New Jersey will open the season ranked 13^th coming off a regional quarterfinal appearance in 2019.
 
The Lions will face their first ranked opponent of the season with a trip to 20^th-ranked University of Scranton on Mar. 15. On Mar. 18, the Lions welcome 25^th-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to Ewing. TCNJ follows with another ranked home game on Mar. 21 as 16^th-ranked Colby visits the Field Hockey and Lacrosse complex. Fourth-ranked Gettsyburg visits the Lions on Mar. 24. The string of five consecutive ranked opponents is rounded out by a home game against third-ranked Salisbury on Mar. 29. The Lions receive their final ranked test on Apr. 18 when 17^th-ranked Colorado College makes the cross-country trip to New Jersey.
 
The Lions were 14-6 in 2019 and ended the year ranked number 14.
