No. 19 Men’s Swimming and Diving Breaks Another Program Record on Day Two of METs

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The 19th-ranked TCNJ men's swimming and diving team broke another program record on day two of the MET Champions on Saturday. The Lions 200-medley relay team of Sean Rave, Andrew Duff, Andrew Thompson, and Griffin Morgan broke the program record with a time of 1:29.37. The record-breaking swim helped the Lions to amass 1,032 points, narrowing the gap to first place and 17th-ranked USMMA's 1,094.5 points. 18th-ranked Rowan sits second with 1,034.5 points.
 
The Lion's 200-medley relay team broke the record set in 2016. Their time currently ranks ninth in the country this season.
 
Morgan posted an NCAA B-Cut of 4:00.69 to win the 400-IM. Conrad Hoody followed in second with a personal-best time of 4:03.84. James Keane posted a personal best in the prelims on his way to fifth place.
 
Thompson swam a personal best and NCAA B-Cut time of 48.86 to win the 100-fly. Rave posted a personal best in the prelims on his way to fifth place. Derek Kneisel and Zachary Volm both posted personal bests to finish ninth and tenth.
 
Dixon Kahler swam a personal-best time of 1:41.05 in the 200-free to place second. Harrison Yi was fourth and Kai Michaud swam a personal best in the prelims for eighth. David Madigan won the B-Final. Nolan Kuscan posted a personal best to take 11th. DJ DeSomma posted a personal best in the prelims on his way to 14th.
 
Duff missed an NCAA B-Cut in the 100-breast by .02 in the prelims and .03 in the finals, swimming 56.09 for fifth. The time is a personal best. Eli O'Connor swam a personal best in the prelims on his way to eighth place.
 
Rave swam a personal best and NCAA B-Cut time of 49.67 to finish third in the 100-back. Kneisel finished fifth in the event. Volm swam a personal best in the prelims to finish eighth.
 
The Lions ended the day in the pool with an NCAA B-Cut time of 6:43.23 to win the 800-free relay. On the day, TCNJ dropped its 800-free aggregate time to 6:41.95, which currently ranks ninth nationally.
 
In the diving well, Jay Soukup was fourth on the 1-meter with a score of 432.33.
 
The Lions are back in the pool Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for prelims and 5:30 p.m. for finals.
