INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On the second day of the 2026 DIII NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships,
Joe McChesney added another All-American honor to his already impressive résumé.
McChesney qualified for the championship final of the 100 butterfly by posting the fifth-fastest qualifying time in the prelims — a 47.27. In the A final, McChesney placed seventh overall (47.80) in order to secure himself another First Team All-America recognition. As a result, the Lions now sit in eighth with 60 points after the second day of the meet.
Steven Bendoraitis and
Gavin Formon came close to making B finals in their respective events, but they unfortunately placed a few spots too low. Bendoraitis placed 20
th in the 200 freestyle (1:38.66) while Formon finished 18
th in the 400 IM (3:59.02). TCNJ's 200 freestyle relay of McChesney,
M.J. Hoban,
Andrew Kidchob, and
Gabe Beverini closed out the morning session of day two, placing 22
nd overall (1:22.95).
