CSCAA Rankings
After a weekend full of remarkable performances at its home invitational, the TCNJ men's swimming team ascended to No. 13 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Poll.
This marks the highest national ranking of the season for the Lions, who were tabbed No. 15 in the preseason before dipping to No. 19 in the previous poll. TCNJ is also slotted at No. 2 in the Northeast-South Region rankings.
TCNJ was thoroughly impressive at its invitational last weekend, racking up 63 lifetime bests and 12 NCAA B-cuts to cruise to the team title.
Lions roam throughout the national performance list.
James McChesney is 10
th in the 50 free and 13
th in the 100 free;
Andrew Thompson ranks 11
th in the 200 free, 17
th in the 200 IM, and 34
th in the 100 fly;
Ryan Higgins is 21
st in the 400 IM and 26
th in the 200 back;
Lukas Blach is 31
st in the 1650 free and 32
nd in the 1000 free; and
Ryan VanDeVeen is 33
rd in the 200 breast, where
Shawn Kushner ranks 35
th.
TCNJ ranks seventh nationally in the 400 free relay, eighth in the 800 free relay, 12
th in the 200 free relay, 17
th in the 200 medley relay, and 18
th in the 400 medley relay.
On the diving side,
Ethan Weiss is ranked 13
th in the 1-meter (11 dives) and 23
rd on 3-meter.
The Lions return to action on January 15
th at the RPI Invitational.
