CSCAA Rankings

After a weekend full of remarkable performances at its home invitational, the TCNJ men's swimming team ascended to No. 13 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Poll.

This marks the highest national ranking of the season for the Lions, who were tabbed No. 15 in the preseason before dipping to No. 19 in the previous poll. TCNJ is also slotted at No. 2 in the Northeast-South Region rankings.

TCNJ was thoroughly impressive at its invitational last weekend, racking up 63 lifetime bests and 12 NCAA B-cuts to cruise to the team title.

Lions roam throughout the national performance list. James McChesney is 10th in the 50 free and 13th in the 100 free; Andrew Thompson ranks 11th in the 200 free, 17th in the 200 IM, and 34th in the 100 fly; Ryan Higgins is 21st in the 400 IM and 26th in the 200 back; Lukas Blach is 31st in the 1650 free and 32nd in the 1000 free; and Ryan VanDeVeen is 33rd in the 200 breast, where Shawn Kushner ranks 35th.

TCNJ ranks seventh nationally in the 400 free relay, eighth in the 800 free relay, 12th in the 200 free relay, 17th in the 200 medley relay, and 18th in the 400 medley relay.

On the diving side, Ethan Weiss is ranked 13th in the 1-meter (11 dives) and 23rd on 3-meter.

The Lions return to action on January 15th at the RPI Invitational.
