PRINCETON, N.J.- The TCNJ men's track and field team competed at the Joe Handelman Invitation on Saturday at Princeton University, putting together strong numbers on the leaderboards.

Junior
Zachary Mackiewicz had an impressive Saturday, qualifying for regionals while recording the fifth best weight throw in school history with a mark of 16.67 meters. Mackiewicz also took fifth in the shot put with a throw just under 14 meters (13.94). Both of these throws were good enough for personal bests in each event.Â

Luke Schrank-Garcia was just behind Mackiewicz in both events. He had a weight throw that traveled 14.44 meters as well as throwing the shot to a mark of 13.48 meters.

Jason Engler finished third in high jump and sixth in the long jump, clearing the bar of 1.83 meters and jumping 6.20 meters. Finishing ahead of Engler in the long jump was freshman
Vincent Rizzi, who bested Engler by 0.10 meters.

Jayvee Dumas finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9 seconds flat.

The TCNJ track and field team will be back on the track on January 14
th at the Lions Indoor Invitational at the 168
th Street Armory in New York, N.Y. starting at 5PM.
