2/1/2022 9:21:00 PM

EWING, N.J. - The TCNJ women's swimming team got plenty of strong performances from their seniors in a 129-49 victory over William Paterson in Tuesday night's Senior Meet.

Zoe Chan, Brianna Hatzold, Megan Healey, Kayla Jelinek, Kori Jelinek, Allison Lowry, Carolyn Mazzacco, and Julia Spanfelner were honored before the meet for their contributions to the program, and that group contributed heavily to a fitting send-off in their final meet in front of the home fans.

The Lions kicked off the meet with a sweep of the top three times in the 400 medley relay, led by Healey, Chan, Kayla Jelinek, and Lowry in first (4:27.06).

In the 400 free relay, the quartet consisting of Jamie Bowne, Shannon Hesse, Haley Crispell, and Autumn-Brook Tucker won with a time of 3:53.27.

Chan won both the 100 free (55.77) and 200 free (2:04.76), where Lowry was second (2:08.80).

Tucker brought in first place in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.72. Kori Jelinek (1:04.51) and Chloe Howard (1:05.34) were close behind.

In the 200 back, Rachel Hannah came in first with a time of 2:15.90, beating out William Paterson's Taylor Friedman for the top spot with her time of 2:23.23.

Sarah Burton finished first in the 1000 free (11:35.43) followed by teammates Colleen Scanlon (11:55.92) and Mackenzie Wall (12:19.79).

Cameron Carrazza finished first with a time of 1:15.26 in the 100 breast, and Hannah placed first in the 50 free at 25.43.

Crispell, who was honored during last year's senior meet, took top prize in the 200 breast with a 2:35.44, while Scanlon claimed the 200 IM in 2:23.59.

TCNJ also produced the top three marks in the 100 back with Bowne (1:04.39), Hesse (1:06.72), and Tucker (1:06.89).

Bowne (5:38.63), Carrazza (5:42.90), and Mazzacco (6:04.18) were the first three finishers in the 500 free.

Julianna Boyle put up a score of 170.85 in the 1-meter dive.

The women's swimming and diving team wraps up the regular season with an NJAC dual at Kean on Saturday.
