EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's swimming and diving team concluded their 2024 TCNJ Invitational with a runner-up finish with 879 points to the Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday.
A pair of first and second place individual finishes highlighted the day with
Bridget Cleveland (200 back) and
Katelyn Gaulin (200 breast) taking first, and
Sarah Mandy (1650 free) and
Lilliana Kuball (100 free) finishing second in the swim portion, while
Beth Evaldi captured a first and second place in diving.
Cleveland and Kuball joined
Colleen Scanlon and
Katie Mazzacco for a runner-up finish in the 400 free relay.
TOP-FIVE FINISHERS
- The Lions closed the day with a runner-up finish in the 400 free relay behind Scanlon, Cleveland, Mazzacco and Kuball with a 3:39.50 time
- Gaulin finished second in the 200 breast (2:28.56)
- In the 200 back, Cleveland took first (2:08.70) and Shaye Bundonis took fifth (2:13.58)
- In the 100 free, Kuball finished second (53.83), while Mazzaco finished fourth (55.55)
- Mandy took second in the 1650 free (18:09.59)
ON THE BOARD
- Beth Evaldi finished first in the 3-meter 11 dives event with 384.75 points, and finished second in the 1-meter 11 dives event with 386.30 points
- Melody Lin took fourth in the 3-meter 11 dives with 304.80 points
