PITMAN, N.J. – Headlined by a pair of major conference awards, the TCNJ men's swimming and diving team saw 13 student-athletes being honored for the 2023-24 All-NJAC teams, as announced by the league office Wednesday morning. All-Conference honors were based on top-three placements at the inaugural NJAC Championship meet.  

Lions head coach David Dow and his staff were named as the NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the program to the inaugural NJAC title under the newest Championship meet format. The staff also helped guide the blue and gold back to the top-ten at the NCAA Championships, with TCNJ securing a tenth place finish last month, the highest team placement since 2016.

Senior James McChesney once again repeated as the conference Swimmer of the Year after a dominant final season that was punctuated by successfully defending his NCAA title in the 200 Freestyle, and in turn becoming the first ever multi-national individual champion in program history.  

In total, nine of the 13 All-Conference selections received individual honors, while the remaining four were exclusively part of relay teams.

INDIVIDUAL HONORS

• McChesney - First team 50 free, 100 free, 200 free 
• Ryan Higgins - First team 200 back, 200 IM, 400 IM
• Gavin Formon - First team 500 free, 1650 free; Second team 400 IM
• Ryan VanDeVeen - First team 100 breast, 200 breast
• Ethan Weiss - First team 1-meter dive
• Lukas Blach - Second team 200 free
• Andrew Kidchob - Second team 100 back, 100 fly
• Andrew Walter - Honorable mention 200 back
• Shawn Kushner - Honorable mention 200 breast

• 400 free relay (McChesney, Blach, Richard Park, Milo Whitley) - First team 
• 800 free relay (Blach, Brian Bull, Formon, McChesney) - First team
