Men's T&F Dominates at Ithaca Quad Meet

ITHACA, N.Y. – The TCNJ men's track and field team posted three top-10 national times and a litany of event victories in scoring a first-place finish at a quad meet hosted by Ithaca on Saturday afternoon.
 
ON THE TRACK
  • Schmitt tied the indoor school record to win the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.81 seconds, currently good for 4th in the nation, and Rychkov was right behind at 6.86 seconds (10th nationally)
  • Rychkov posted the 4th-fastest time in the country to claim the 200-meter dash in 22.01 seconds, more than half a second clear of Attali (22.64) in second
  • Attali, Noah Traverso, LeBron Rose, and Rychkov ran the second-fastest time in the nation in the 4x400 relay, finishing the race in 3:18.79
  • Brandon Chen (4:24.75) edged out teammate Michael Rodriguez (4:25.91) for first place in the mile; Phil Pace, Kevin Matthews, and Matthew Granizo gave the Lions a 1-2-4-6-7 finish in the event
  • Chen also won the 3000 meters in a clocking of 8:51.94, with Granizo in second at 8:56.38 and Rodriguez in fourth (8:58.57) with sub-9 minute times
  • Attali led a 1-2-3-4 showing in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 8.32 seconds; Nate Adams (8.57) was second, followed closely by Rose (8.60) and Jayvee Dumas (8.67)
IN THE FIELD
  • Dumas won the pole vault, clearing 4.30 meters
  • Ryan Donnelly was second in the long jump (6.79 meters), followed by Traverso in fourth (6.60 meters)
  • Jayden Wright was second in the shot put (14.56 meters), while Steve Daramola took fourth at 13.86 meters
  • Daramola also placed fifth in the weight throw (14.81 meters)
