Men's T&F Places 16 on Outdoor All-NJAC Teams

PITMAN, N.J. – The TCNJ men's track and field team placed 16 student-athletes on the Outdoor All-NJAC teams released by the conference on Friday. Five Lions garnered multiple all-conference honors from the Outdoor NJAC Championships, with Noah Traverso leading the way with three of them.
 
FIRST TEAM
  • Brandon Chen won the 5K (15:05.31), improving one spot after having finished as the runner-up in last year's outdoor championship meet.
  • Maxim Rychkov defended his outdoor 100 title from a year ago, posting a time of 10.43 to win gold.
  • Braden Paulmenn earned his first career conference gold medal in the shot put (15.00m).
  • Evan Melito placed first in the 10K (32:10.75), winning his first career outdoor gold medal.
  • Jayvee Dumas captured his third straight decathlon title, amassing 6,104 points.
  • Kevin Matthews won the 1500 (3:54.60) to win his first ever conference individual medal.
  • Ryan Segalla also won his first ever medal, winning gold in the steeplechase (9:33.75).
 
SECOND TEAM
  • Chen added a silver medal to his collection in the 1500 (3:58.40), crossing the finish line a few seconds after Matthews.
  • Noah Traverso claimed one of his team-best three medals in the 400, where he finished runner-up (47.67).
  • Sean Haggerty won the silver medal in the 10K (32:15.29), separating himself from third place by over 30 seconds to claim his first career All-NJAC honor.
  • Tyler Kadezabek also secured his first career All-NJAC honor this outdoor season, placing second in the pole vault by clearing 4.30m.
  • Nate Kidwell medaled in the steeplechase for a second straight year, placing behind Segalla this time to win silver (9:43.33).
 
HONORABLE MENTION
  • The 4x100 relay of Chris Eubanks, Rychkov, Traverso, and Tyler Seaton won bronze (41.17). As a result, Eubanks and Seaton came away with the first NJAC medals of their careers.
  • Seaton also ran in the 4x400, where he and Victor Akinboboye, Lebron Rose, and Nate Adams placed third in 3:16.17.
  • Traverso won bronze — his third medal of the meet — in the 200 (21.26).
  • Paulmenn placed third in the hammer throw to earn his second medal of the meet and his first ever in the event.
  • Melito placed third in the 5K (15:09.07), medaling in the event for the first time.
