EWING, N.J. – TCNJ standouts
Malin Jasinski,
Justin Kurc, and
Garrett Terlizzi were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Football Team, announced Tuesday afternoon by the organization.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on January 28.
Now a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, Jasinski's latest accolade adds to a sterling resume rife with on-field accomplishments. He was named a first team All-American by both the AFCA and D3football.com, the first player in program history to accomplish that feat. Jasinski was also tabbed NJAC Offensive Player of the Year after shattering school records for receptions (99) and yards (1,378) in a single season. Jasinski is a finance major with a 3.68 GPA.
Kurc was an All-NJAC second team selection at safety after a stellar junior season in which he tied for the team lead with five interceptions – three of them coming in one game against Kean – and added 10 pass breakups to his 45 total tackles. He is a Kinesiology & Health Sciences major with a 3.52 GPA.
Terlizzi came to TCNJ as a grad transfer from Kean and made his presence felt, holding down the left tackle spot all season en route to All-NJAC first team recognition and helping to pave the way for an offense that led the NJAC and ranked fourth in the nation in passing offense at 328.5 yards per game. The Lions were second in the conference and 26
th nationally in total offense (447.7 YPG). He is pursuing his MBA at TCNJ after achieving a 3.78 undergraduate GPA at Kean.
