Teagan Walker of women's cross country and
Chimmy Ozokpor of football claimed weekly rookie awards from the NJAC on Monday.
This past Friday, the TCNJ cross country squads competed at Lehigh's Paul Short Run. In the enormous field of over 400 runners,
Teagan Walker placed 126
th overall in 22:58.8, outrunning the other NJAC freshman runners over the 6K course. Walker is now a two-time Rookie of the Week honoree, as she earned her first one two weeks ago for her performance at the Osprey Open. This also marks the third straight week that a member of TCNJ women's cross country has claimed the NJAC Rookie of the Week award.
The TCNJ football team suffered its first loss of the season on the road against #6 Salisbury this past weekend, but
Chimmy Ozokpor logged an impressive individual performance. Ozokpor logged 7 total tackles in the game this past Saturday, more than doubling his career total.
