Men's T&F Competes at Utica

UTICA, N.Y. – The TCNJ men's track and field team recorded a handful of top-five performances at Utica's Blue & Orange Invitational on Saturday.
 
ON THE TRACK
  • Ray Schmitt took second in the 60-meter dash, losing out to RPI's Josh Ihegihu by a miniscule .002 seconds
  • Jack Attali finished third in the 200-meter dash (22.30), where Noah Traverso was seventh (22.59), Anthony Senatore eighth (22.87), and Schmitt ninth (22.95)
  • Phil Pace (15:24.52) and Evan Melito (15:26.43) placed second and third, respectively, in the 5000 meters; Pace's time was an AARTFC qualifier and Melito's was an indoor PR by nearly 15 seconds
  • Nate Adams finished sixth in the 400-meter dash (52.48) and Sean Newbert was ninth with a 52.72 in his collegiate debut
  • Thomas Blach placed eighth in the 800 meters (1:58.03)
IN THE FIELD
  • Stephen Daramola's heave of 16.57 meters in the weight throw was a new career best by one-hundredth of a meter and good for the eighth-best tally in program history; Brandon Kuse, meanwhile, threw a season-best 14.04 meters
  • Jayden Wright (14.77 meters) placed fourth in the shot put, where Christian Farhat was seventh (14.49m) and Daramola eighth (14.28m)
  • Noah Traverso logged a new PR in the triple jump (12.54 meters)
  • Jayvee Dumas notched a season-best 1.77 meters in the high jump
  • Tyler DeMarco cleared 4.31 meters in the pole vault, placing fifth overall with the second-best performance of his career
