ITHACA, N.Y. – Ethan Weiss and
Michael Wu capped their outstanding seasons at the NCAA Region 4 diving championship on Saturday at Ithaca.
Weiss came within a hair of NCAA qualification, placing 6
th on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Region 4 will send five divers on to nationals, making Weiss the first man out; he is first alternate to compete at the NCAA meet in the case of a drop-out.
Wu finished 11
th on 3-meter and 14
th on 1-meter. A regional qualifier for the second time in his career, the senior leaves TCNJ as a 5-time NJAC medalist including finishing 2
nd on 1-meter and 3
rd on 3-meter at the NJAC Championship this season. He is a 3-time NJAC Diver of the Week and 2-time CSCAA Scholar All-American.
Weiss ends his decorated career as a 4-time regional qualifier. He is a 2-time NJAC Diver of the Year and 6-time conference champion, including on 1-meter this season. Weiss was a CSCAA Scholar All-American a year ago and racked up a remarkable 24 Diver of the Week awards for his career.
