ITHACA, N.Y. - The TCNJ men's track and field team returned to Ithaca College for the AARTFC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, March 7 which included a standout silver medal performance by the distance medley team.

After the first four events of the heptathlon, Jayvee Dumas is currently sitting in the sixth overall spot with a 2493 total score. This score was calculated from his first-place win in the long jump (6.46m), tying for fourth in the 60-meter dash (7.32), getting ninth in the shot put (9.64m), and finishing tenth in the high jump (1.73m). The remaining three events will take place tomorrow.

ON THE TRACK

• The distance medley team placed second for the silver medal (10:17.61), with the legs of the race run by Kevin Matthews, Tyrese Gilbert, Thomas Blach, and Brandon Chen. That time ranks just outside the top-40 in Division III this season

IN THE FIELD

• Jayden Wright threw for seventh place in the shot put (14.90 meters) and Christian Farhat finished ninth (14.77m).

UP NEXT

• The Lions will continue on with the AARTFC Championships on Sunday, with events starting at 10 AM.
