Daramola Leads Lions to Trio of Wins at Paul Donahue Invitational

CHESTER, P.A. - The TCNJ men's track & field team spent the weekend on the road at the Paul Donahue Invitational, winning a trio of events, finishing as the runner-up in four and grabbing two third-place finishes in the two-day meet.
 
ON THE TRACK
  • The 4x100-meter relay team finished first after an impressive performance by Ray Schmitt, Maxim Rychkov, Noah Traverso, and Jack Attali (41.18).
  • Rychkov added an individual event to his tally with his win in the 200-meter dash, also breaking the program record that had stood since 2002 (21.33).
  • The Lions' 4x400-meter team made up of Traverso, Attali, Anthony Senatore, and Rychkov finished as the runner-up in the event, setting a new program record that also ranks 10th in Division III (3:12.10).
  • Brandon Chen placed eighth out of the 100 athletes who participated in the 5000-meter race (14:46.69).
  • Nathaniel Adams came in fifth place in the 400-meter hurdles event (54.98).
IN THE FIELD
  • The Lions had two athletes medal in the hammer throw, leading off with Stephen Daramola, who took first (48.50m), and George Agyei-Sam, who finished third (46.69m). Brandon Kuse was just behind in the rankings and claimed the fifth-place spot (45.16m).
  • Daramola was also the runner-up in the discus event (47.23m). Teammate Brandon Kuse threw for fifth place (42.76m).
  • Christian Farhat won silver in the shot put event (15.37m).
  • Tyler Kadezabek finished second in the pole vault (4.40m).
  • Alexander Bogues got the bronze medal for his javelin throw (53.45m).
UP NEXT

TCNJ will continue on with its spring season next week, starting off with the Penn Relays that run from Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26. The Lions Invitational will simultaneously be taking place at home on Friday and Saturday.
