GENEVA, Ohio – The TCNJ men's track and field team's youth movement wrapped up their spectacular seasons at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday night.
Maxim Rychkov ran his way to All-America honors by placing 10
th in the 200-meter dash prelims, narrowly missing a spot in Friday's finals heat.
Rychkov also teamed with
Nate Adams,
Noah Traverso, and
Anthony Senatore to place 11
th in the first round of the 4x400 relay, securing second team All-America status.
Adams finished 22
nd in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles.
Amidst difficult conditions with rain and chilly temperatures at SPIRE Institute, Rychkov notched the fourth All-America performance of his historic rookie campaign, crossing the line in 21.41 seconds, just .07 off the ninth and final qualifying spot for the championship heat.
The 4x400 relay unit finished in 3:16.02, notably edging out rival Rowan by one hundredth of a second.
Rychkov, Senatore, and Traverso all competed in the 4x400 at both the NCAA indoor and outdoor championship meets, with the first-year trio teaming with
Jack Attali to take eighth place at indoors. Adams was a first-time qualifier both as an individual and as part of a relay.
