INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – It was an excellent start to the 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships for the TCNJ men's swimming squad, as they qualified for three championship finals and
Andrew Kidchob lowered a program record on day one.
Kidchob led off the 400 medley relay in 48.21, resetting his 100 backstroke record which had previously stood at 48.98. He combined with
Tyler McGeehan,
Joe McChesney, and
M.J. Hoban to place seventh overall (3:13.40) in the last event of the evening.
To begin the championship finals,
Steven Bendoraitis placed eighth in the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 4:28.35. Bendoraitis qualified for the A final with the sixth-best qualifying time in the field (4:26.36).
Hoban also qualified for the championship final of the 50 freestyle, posting a lifetime-best mark of 19.87. In the A final, Hoban placed sixth with a time of 19.94.
