Meet results
Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team won its fourth consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference title by defeating Rowan University 169-103 in TCNJ's Aquatic Center on Saturday.
The victory by the Lions (8-1, 4-0) also marked the 16
th straight NJAC victory since the conference resumed sponsoring swimming and diving as a sport in 2008-09. They won every event but two, handing the Profs (5-1, 2-1) their first loss of the season.
Senior
Ryan Clark (Ocean, NJ/St. Augustine) led TCNJ with a pair of individual event wins and also competed on the winning 200-medley relay team. Clark placed first in the 100-free with a time of 46.29 and also took top prize in the 200-free, finishing in 1:42.76.
Classmate
TJ Burns (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) also put forth another stellar performance winning both the 1- and 3-meter events. He posted scores of 364.25 (1-meter) and 369.10 (3-meter) to claim both events.
In the distance events, junior
Mike Caputo (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) touched the wall first in both the 500- and 1000-freestyle races. He registered a time of 4:51.94 in the 500 and 10:07.10 in the 100.
Junior
Evan Paulan (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) and freshman
Aleksander Burzynksi (Colonia, NJ/St. Joseph's) also won multiple individual events. Paulan won both the 100- and 200-breast and Burzynski produced victories in both the 100- and 200-back. Junior
Adam Schneider (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) posted a time of 21.02 to win the 50-free.
The meet also marked the final home event for five seniors on the team.

Ryan Clark,
Matt Kauffman, and
Jesse Taylor have now been a part of four NJAC titles, three Metropolitan Conference championships, and cumulative 35-5 dual meet record during their tenure. They were also members of the Lions team that placed sixth at the 2010 NCAA Championships, the best finish in program history.
The Lions, ranked seventh in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll, will square off against sixth-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Hoboken, NJ.
