The win over the Division II program called for contributions from the entire roster, but junior
James Shangle (Highland Park, NJ/Highland Park) emerged with a big night in the lanes, winning three individual events and a relay race.

Shangle helped set the tone in the opening 200-medley relay race event along with senior
Aleksander Burzinski (Colonia, NJ/St. Joseph's), sophomore
Jin Roh (Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly) and senior
Brett Pedersen (Sewell, NJ/St. Augustine Prep). They posted a winning time of 1:34.96.

In the breaststroke events, Shangle dominated by clocking a time of 58.43 in the 100-breast and 2:09.79 in the 200-breast. He returned to the blocks for the 200-individual medley and beat the pack with a finish of 1:57.94.

Pedersen also tallied major points by topping the competition in the sprint free races. He won the 50-free in 21.58 and 100-free in 47.02. Pedersen joined forces with sophomores
Andrew Nesbitt (Somerset, NJ/St. Joseph's), Scott Vitabile (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) and
Ryan Gajdzisz (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) to claim the 400-free relay in 3:10.86.

Nesbitt touched the wall first in the 200-free in 1:45.07, while Gajdzisz topped the field in the 500-free in 4:41.34. Roh had a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100-backstroke, 200-back and 100-butterfly events.

TCNJ will have nearly two weeks off from competition before hosting New York University on Saturday, November 15. The dual meet will start at 2 p.m. in TCNJ's Aquatic Center.
