Hall of Fame
                
    The coaching career of June Walker lasted 21 years at this college from 1974 to 1995. With 721 wins and 154 losses, and an overall percentage of 0.825, she is the NCAA Division ID number one all time coach, number three for Division ID softball coaches and number one in percent average among all softball coaches. 
Walker was selected as Coach of the Year for five years and lead the Lions softball team to sixteen consecutive national championship tournament positions. The team advanced each time to the semifinals finishing not lower than fourth every time. During her coaching career, she lead the team to a record of696 wins out of770 games played. Walker captured NCAA Division m titles in 1983, 1987, 1989, 1992, and 1994. 
She has an impressive student athlete record as well. Walker has produced 65 All-Americans (more than any coach, Division I, II, or III), 48 First Team All-Americans (more than any other coach), 13 GIB Academic All-Americans, 7 Division ill Players of the Year, 6 college coaches, 2 U.S. National Team Members, and 2 GIB Academic All-Americans of the Year. 
Walker's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. In 1992, she was elected into the National Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and was selected as head coach of the East softball squad at the Olympic Festival the following year. In 1994, Walker was named the Women's Foundation Budget Car Coach of the Year. 
Walker is a member of the softball advisory board and served on the board of directors of the National Softball Coaches Association as a founding member. She has traveled throughout Europe and the United States to lecture at softball camps and clinics.Â
