Michael Klimchak starred for the Lions from 2004-2008 and earned ITA and NCAA All-America honors in 2007 in singles, while also earning two appearances in the NCAA’s in the doubles championships as well during his career.
A two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honoree, Klimchak secured All-America honors for himself from the ITA after taking seventh at the 2007 ITA National Small College Championships in October. He earned NCAA All-America honors after advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2008 NCAA Division III Singles Championships at Bates College. At the end of his senior season, he finished seventh in the country for singles as well as seventh in the country for doubles with partner Roger Mosteller.
Klimchak concluded his TCNJ career with a record of 144-44 in both singles and doubles. Overall in his singles career, he went 75-23, while adding a 69-21 mark in doubles play.
Klimchak is currently tied as the winningest player in school history in combined singles/doubles victories with 144. His 69 doubles victories are the most in school history, and his 75 singles wins rank third all-time at TCNJ. He is currently an assistant coach with the TCNJ tennis program.
